Welcome to the East Lee County Council website!

The East Lee County Council (ELCC) is composed of representatives from East Lee County civic associations, which are located East of the city line of Fort Myers along the Greater Palm Beach Boulevard Corridor to the Hendry County line.

The ELCC was created with the objective of combining the efforts and interests of those associations, and is working together to protect and improve area livability, bring about a spirit of harmony, encourage beautification, increase property values, and otherwise provide for the well-being of East Lee County residents.

The ELCC was founded in 2000 by William B. Davis and is the official sponsor of three area plans within the Fort Myers Shores Planning Area as defined by the Lee Plan. The three plans are: The Caloosahatchee Shores Community Plan (the area East of I-75), the Palm Beach Blvd Community Plan (the area West of I-75), and the Olga Plan (North of Palm Beach Boulevard off S. Olga Road). These three area plans create specific limitations and rules affecting future growth and development in the area.

The East Lee County Council boundaries encompasses the following areas, communities, and neighborhoods:Alva, Alabama Groves, Bayshore, Buckingham, Charleston Park, Fort Myers Shores, Hawks Preserve, Hickey/Oak Creek, Morse Shores, Oasis Park, Olga, Orange Harbor Park, Orange River Hills, Palm Beach Development Corporation, Pine Ridge, River Forest, River Grove Estates, River Hall, Riverdale, Russell Park, Sun & Fun, Tice, and Verandah. Every communities civic association has the right to become a paid member of the ELCC, which allows them to appoint someone to vote on issues related to their area.
